Liberty Grand – July 17, 2009

A day that was originally planned to have an outdoor ceremony took some quick decision making and coordinating on our part as we put our contingency plan into effect with cloudy skies looming over us.

The forecast called for thundershowers and our outdoor ceremony at Liberty Grand was moved indoors at the eleventh hour.  We coordinated moving the set up and decor indoors 2 hours before the ceremony started.  The ceremony was the most creative and personalized we have seen yet as the bride and groom mixed important aspects from both the muslim and hindu ceremonies and involved their friends a great deal.

While the cermony was going on, we were checking on the setup and decor for the reception.  Our bride & groom were on a budget so we found them exactly what they wanted for decor in a fantastic price.  Decor for both the ceremony and reception including mandap, aisle decor, bouquets, garlands, boutineers, fresh flower centrepieces, head table and cake decor was completed in $1700 – what a deal!

Once the ceremony was completed, guests moved to the lobby for hors d’oeuvres as we reviewed the evening programme with the MC’s.  As doors opened and guests settled into their seats we had 2 surprise additions to the schedule, a quick liase with the DJ, MC’s and kitchen ensured everyone knew what was going on and the changes to the evening would go unnoticed by the guests.

The rest of the evening went as planned and our bride and groom were glowing.  We would like to respect the privacy of our newest Sapna Weddings couple but will share some sneak peaks into their event decor…
