Our other wedding on August 15 was an intimate affair, 150 guests in a beautiful outdoor ceremony. We had picked a very unique venue which gave us the cozy backyard wedding feel without all of the work! John & Michelle had asked us to find and book all of their vendors – from photo and video to decor, transportation and DJ we organized the full event and saved John & Michelle $2082.
Michelle wanted a sheer, Italian style look and we carried her summery choice of lilac and white throughout all elements of the wedding from the ceremony to the reception at Paradise Banquet Hall.
The ceremony venue was dressed with lilac roses and orchids to complement the white draping gates and aisleway. As the guests arrived we arranged for light refreshments and made sure all of the final details were complete. Working with the bridal party was easy as we had had a full rehearsal a couple of days earlier and this really helped everyone involved know exactly where to line up, how to enter and where to stand so that when their moment came, it looked flawless. Sapna Weddings offers and encourages couples to do a wedding or reception rehearsal whenever family or friends are involved in the wedding so that everything flows well on the wedding day.
When the ceremony was completed we hurried to help coordinate family and friends’ pictures because it was pretty hot outside and people were getting anxious to cool down. After the picture session we rushed to Paradise to start setting up for the reception. In order to maximize the use of our ceremonial flowers, we had them all transferred to the reception hall and helped organize them in the lobby and main hall.
The rest of the evening went as planned with lots of tears in an unforgettable and oh so sweet surprise guitar performance by the groom and a very emotional father/daughter dance.
